Health Without End

Physical healing and salvation have something very important in common. God is the source of life, health and healing and He is the source of salvation. One thing they do not have in common is that physical healing won*t last more than 100 years or so. Salvation lasts forever. God is the Giver of physical life and He is the Giver of eternal spiritual life. Even if one could have perfect health for 100 years, without salvation he would end up in a place of torments, eternal thirst, wailing and gnashing of teeth, which is called a furnace of fire and a Lake of fire. He would have no hope and he would be without hope for ever and ever and ever. Contrast that with a place where God Himself shall wipe away all tears, there shall be no more death, sorrow, crying or pain, a place where there will NEVER EVER be a need for any healing.

Revelation 21:4: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Jeremiah 17:9: The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Matthew 5:8: Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

God is the Only One who can purify our hearts.

Acts 15:8: And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them (the Gentiles) witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; (the Jews) 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

When God does His purifying work on our hearts, He wants them to have a different output, righteousness instead of sin, whether we are physically healthy or not. He gives us the Holy Spirit and then the output should be the fruit of the Spirit.

Read Galatians 5:19-25.

Matthew 15:18: But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Luke 6:45: A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

1 Timothy 1:5: Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

2 Timothy 2:22: Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

We must remember that, like Paul, we have this treasure (pure hearts) in earthen vessels (our flesh).

2 Corinthians 4:7: But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Romans 7:18: For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
